  Vacation
I am so glad that I got to see so many of you on my vacation two weeks ago. It was a great blessing to hear Todd and Brother Balram preach again and to see all your smiling faces.

It wasn’t what I would call relaxing, but that’s the way I like it. My graduation party on Saturday was bunches of fun. I loved seeing everyone and getting calls for all of you guys. I went to Rec Night that evening and Larry, Lisa and I whipped up on some youngsters. I got to hear Damon speak too, that was a blessing I am so happy to see that God is using El Shaddi to touch the city of Frederick.

When I went to Rockville Church of God of Prophecy on Sunday it was a blessed time remembering Astiana, as well as our fathers. God truly did touch some people that day and it was a time of healing from what I saw.

Both churches welcomed me back so that it was like I never really left I felt right at home. All of you are such a blessing, never loose that welcoming spirit.

Camps was so much fun, I got to see everyone and some new people as well. I enjoyed hearing Trevett speak that Thursday morning. I loved hanging out with Todd and all of the other counselors just having fun, talking and blessing each other; hearing how the ministry has grown and developed since I have left, it is exciting to see what God is doing through PYROS.

eXtreme Camps -- Week Number 1
This week of camps was amazing I learned so much this week, God just showed me some things that blew me away. I cannot thank him enough for what he had revealed to me. The thing that sticks out to me the most is that He wants us to enjoy the simple things about Him. That He understands what we are going through, that He loves us, His forgiveness, grace, and joy, etc. While we learn the more complex and deeper things about our Lord, we should put our focus on that. Remember that God uses the simple things to put the wise to shame.

I had 5 amazing guys, 4 of 5 were brothers of interns and it was rocking. They were all really nice, well behaved and open and teachable. They seemed to get a lot out of the sessions and it made my job very easy. I was super blessed to have them in my group. I am going to miss those guys.

There were several very fun times, the one that sticks out the most is the Pillar concert. They rocked the party, they are amazing guys and really into Jesus. I would defiantly check out their new CD Fireproof. My legs hurt 5 days after the concert because I jumped so much and so hard, WOW! Also the ropes course was great, we did the pamper pole and that is when you climb up this 40 foot pole and jump off; it was great fun; I climbed this 50 foot rock climbing was that was a blast as well. Wish you all were here. Anyways God bless all of you. Please pray that I would have wisdom in all I do.

Also keep in prayer my two roommates that got dismissed, Nathan Dotson and Joe Mullins. God bless all of you.

eXtream Camps -- Week Number 2
Extreme Camps the second week was very different then the first, much more difficult then the first. I had 9 guys, all of them were quiet introverts who didn't want to talk. Needless to say I was kerking out, no one wanted to talk to me about anything. Then some of my guys didn't even stay on campus they stayed in a hotel because the youth pastor didn't like the sleeping arrangements. Bless their heart. So I had a hard road ahead of me.

But I learned and was stretched a lot. God did touch some of their hearts, and I did see by the end of the week my guys worshipping and opening up to the sermons and the preaching more then they did at the beginning. God is so good! Despite myself and the circumstances God and do anything. Praise the Lord!

God truly did bless me that week, a camper that I hadn't even seen before gave me the greatest compliment of my life, he said that as he watched me that week that my example made him want to know Jesus more. Then the next day he asked me to mentor him and so I accepted we talk and email each other regularly.

I am be challenged and learning about God through Him as much or more so then he is through me.

Getting Ready For the Next Semester
There are many thing that are asking for my time and energy, so please be praying that I will choose what is best. The most important thing that I can be doing to prepare is praying. I am going to be the Room Leader for 5 guys that I will have never met before and I have 4 months with them. While I am looking forward to it, it is a little nerve racking. God's glory is perfected in my weakness. I find out who my new Core Advisor will be in 6 days. I am excited, I know I will get the man that I am supposed to get. God arranges these things so well.

The Honor Council is thee board of interns that has a key role in decided whither those individuals that break the rules get to stay at the internship or whether they go home. I have been elected by my peers to this board and so that will be very stressful at times, I am looking forward to be stretched and changed and pray fully helping to decide what is best for the internship as a whole and for the individual. Please pray that God will give me grace and wisdom.

Well summer is coming to a close, and in 3 weeks on August 15 the next class of interns comes in. Please be praying for the internship as a whole and for me and my peers that we will be ready for the change. May God bless you all.

Love,
Nick
